From the Director – December

This season is the most wonderful time of the year, unless you are poor, homeless and broken-hearted. Some say they are in that position because of their own choices, and this is true for many, but not all. Even so, wouldn’t you want someone to help you if you were experiencing the same? Of course you would, and so would I.

Hundreds of men, women and children are on the streets in Ventura County, without the basic necessities of life: food, shelter, and warm clothes. Left alone and hurting, many turn to the Mission to find comfort in their time of need, and we are open seven days a week, 365 days a year to provide whatever they need without cost.

This is a season of giving. After family and friends are cared for, would you consider giving to the Mission and Lighthouse so we can provide hope to those who are hurting during this holiday season?
Thank you for caring,
John
