The heart of the Ventura County Rescue Mission and Lighthouse is Recovery and Restoration. We serve over 700 meals a day to the working poor and those experiencing homelessness. We provide an emergency shelter to help men and women with children to escape the cold night and dangerous streets. Yet, what they really need is to recover from drugs and alcohol, to be trained so they are employable, to be taught life skills, like money management, so they can be equipped to provide for themselves and their families.
All of what I just mentioned is absolutely free to anyone seeking help; we are funded by you, our faithful donors, who support the work! Your gifts not only give a man or a woman a hand up, they also encourage the staff because it shows you believe in what we do! Thank you, for we are eternally grateful for your support and encouragement.
