Lighthouse Shelter Programs

The Lighthouse for Women & Children offers a full range
of services specifically tailored to the unique needs of
homeless women and children in Ventura County.

Intakes

  • Intakes are from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Clients must have a valid ID or must obtain it with the first 72 hours of stay
  • Children must have social security card, birth certificate, or another form of ID
  • All clients must get a TB test taken within the first 72 hours of stay

Life Boat Overnight Cot Program - 10 Cots

  • Check in at dusk
  • 9:00 -9:15 pm check-in and 5:30 am checkout
  • For Women and Women with children (boys up to age 10, some exceptions made up to age 12)
  • Services include: Overnight shelter and brown bag breakfast

Safe Harbor Emergency Shelter - 24 Emergency Shelter beds for women & families

  • 24 hour seven days a week shelter
  • For Women and Women with children (boys to age 10 - some exceptions made up to age 12)
  • 30-day stay limit, extensions can be granted for up to six months if appropriate
  • Services Include: Case Management, Counseling, Life Skills classes, and referral services
